Manager - Fundraising and Partnership

We are searching for an experienced fundraising manager with excellent leadership skills and networking abilities. The fundraising manager will be responsible for building good relationships with prospective donors and clients across multiple sectors, communicating with the broader public and internal teams, delegating tasks, and drawing up plans to ensure annual targets are met. You should be well organized, proactive, and have the ability to inspire those around you.

To be successful as a fundraising manager, you should stay informed on marketing strategies, and be comfortable doing research on different sectors. A great fundraising manager should have sharp public speaking skills and be able to deliver presentations to a range of audiences.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Proactively network and collaborate with government bodies, national and international donors and CSR to build relevant partnership and enhance opportunities
  • Lead donor relations and management by engaging national international donors/CSR from proposal to program funding and reporting stages
  • Manage the crowd funding platform of the organization; develop and implement crowd funding strategies, plans and campaigns
  • Thoughtfully and strategically participate in all aspects of donor relationships, including conducting baseline prospect identification and research, initiating contact, qualifying philanthropic capacity and inclination, preparation of proposals, solicitation, closure, and stewardship
  • Develop and deliver creative and powerful presentations and proposals for partnership opportunities; ensure organizational leadership involved in pitch are briefed and prepared for meetings, when applicable
  • Implementing a variety of marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to raise awareness about organization
  • Build strong relationships internally across the organization, and proactively ensure access to the information needed to build donor relationships effectively
  • Support the fundraising efforts, including research, talking points, solicitation materials, program updates, and follow-up proposals as needed
  • Share donor engagement best practices across the organization, and actively contribute to an internal culture of philanthropy and stewardship
  • Support Communications teammates to develop appropriate collateral for donors, including for the website and blog, social media, quarterly and annual reports, newsletters, and other materials
  • Maintain fundraising collateral including decks and one-pagers, in line with SES’ branding and voice. Subscribe to relevant newsletters, listservs and attend webinars to stay informed on developments in community and digital health, and share developments with the team.
  • Manage updating of the internal management system and ensure that all prospective and Current donor details are accurately recorded in the database prescribed
  • Organizing and attending non-profit events and networking with relevant stakeholders.
  • Establishing good relationships with staff, members of the public, and the media.
  • Identify new sources of support through networking, pitches and social media, and build relationships with new businesses and other sources
  • Reach out to potential funders and ensure adequate follow- ups for acquisition and retention Develop project proposals, concept notes, presentations and budgets for pitching
  • Manage donor relationships basis their reporting needs on a continuing basis and ensure timely reporting and due diligence as per their expectations
  • Organizing capacity building sessions for partner organizations on fundraising Conduct thorough due diligence on partners to make sure they are compliant with existing laws and have strong track record.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on individuals creating personal cause campaigns to verify need and use of funds
  • Ensuring that all donors are sent feedback reports on timely basis and that partners provide high quality feedback reports
  • Campaigns: Develop pipeline of campaigns that have large scale impact and work with partners to execute those

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

  • Graduate/Post graduate in PR, Fundraising, marketing any field with 4+ years of work experience in Non Profit Sector .
  • Ability to evaluate partnerships and collaboration opportunities in the city / region from a development and a larger organizational lens.
  • Proficient user of the MS Office toolkit such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word Excellent communication (written ,verbal and telephonic) in in English and Hindi, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong goal orientation and ability to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Strong project management skills including assessing progress to goals and making the necessary course corrections or reinforcements
  • Ability to use data to drive decisions
  • An inclination or the ability to see connections between seemingly disparate opportunities (internal or external to the team or the organization) and leverage the same to achieve shared goals
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment and develop strategy independently – with the newer work-streams, the Senior Manager will operate in a relatively unstructured environment where they will have to collect, process and synthesize information. They should also have the ability to critically review this to enable strategic decision making.
  • Knowledge / Awareness of managerial techniques to build a strong culture of collaboration and collective problem solving among the city and national team members
  • Have a proven track record of CSR Partnership, HNI Contacts, fundraising to promote charitable causes. Strong network of existing relationships with institutions like hospitals, universities, marathons
